Just as the old Chinese saying goes: seeing things for oneself is a hundred times better than hearing about it from the others (百闻不如一见). This time, Fintiba did not only come to see and learn about the struggles of students coming from China, but also to personally present the opportunities that Germany has to offer for internationals.
For the first time ever, Fintiba took part in the China Education Expo. From the 17th until the 28th of October, we have been given a chance to present ourselves at the fair in Beijing and Shanghai to students, agencies and universities. It has been a unique experience with many cultural, professional and industry-related insights. As a popular studying destination, Germany was also been presented by institutions like DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, also known as German Academic Exchange Service), APS (“Akademische Pruefstelle”) and several German universities.
It was a great opportunity to talk to students and their parents, having a chance to explain in detail the value of the services that we provide. We have, once again, confirmed that high security standards and great customer care lie in the basis of the quality service that Fintiba is known for. It was great to acknowledge that Chinese universities are very supportive of our digital initiatives, too.
Our managing director, Jonas Marggraf, has shared the insights of our latest study about the hurdles of international students in Germany with the management of DAAD Beijing and Shanghai.
Moreover, we had an insightful discussion about the newest policies and trends of Chinese students coming to Germany with “Akademische Pruefstelle”.
We appreciated the chance to personally meet our long-term partners, as well as organisations that are open for potential cooperation. Together, we can improve the processes that international students need to go through in order to help them make their dream of studying in Germany come true.
Fintiba services are officially recognised by German Embassies in China. According to recent updates in the visa requirements, it is very important that the account is opened specifically at a German bank and Fintiba is one of the few providers that offers a compliant solution. You can also find our services being recommended by DAAD China in their special issue for international students – DAAD China: 100 Q&A.
Thank you, China, for such a warm welcome ? Until next year!
